Veils of Lavender Roll20 Module with PDF (Level 5-8)

A one-shot of secret auctions, shattered relics, and underground horrors

A clandestine auction beneath an ancient dwarven foundry descends into chaos when a prized relic breaks and unleashes a wave of unnatural transformation. Locked inside with a merciless guardian, the characters must navigate the horrors of a failing complex to find their way back to the surface.

The Veiled Merchants have turned the ruins of Kostryl’s Ironwrought Assembly into a hidden marketplace for dangerous antiquities. Madessa Vren hires the party to secure the Gilded Egg of Shurraad, but Kelvos Marronis offers a competing arrangement that could change the stakes of the job. Around them, masked bidders vie for forbidden treasures as the illegal auctions goes on.

The final bidding lot brings the evening to a violent end. A treacherous doppelganger shatters the relic, releasing aberrant magic that warps the assembled guests into horrifying creatures. Faylen Kael seals every exit and sends the Lockwarden, his towering adamantine construct, to destroy anything that remains within the complex.

The characters must explore the foundry’s dangerous lower levels and find the parts needed to repair a sabotaged elevator. Ancient machinery still operates, and glowing runes conceal traps capable of killing the unwary. With the Lockwarden closing in, the party must weigh their original mission against the need to escape. Whatever they uncover below Kostryl’s ruins could reshape the shadow markets of Drayl.
