Created by the iron golem Xarkissus the Curious, the Scarab was designed to explore the unknown and preserve its secrets. But when the vessel’s steward, the Curator, attempted to capture a rare Farrealm predator, the creature escaped containment and crippled the ship’s systems. Now, a catastrophic magical overload threatens to obliterate the Scarab and the nearby village of Walsylor.
The crisis reaches the surface when the ship’s mobile minions, the Retrievants, begin raiding for resources. Drawn into the disaster, the characters descend into a vast underground complex filled with fractured laboratories and bizarre Far Realm lifeforms. They must investigate the Archives, navigate chambers where gravity fails, and repair the damaged systems before time runs out.
The Curator may become an uneasy ally, offering rare knowledge and rewards if the party captures the escaped aberration alive. But with radiation seeping through the vessel and magnetic forces threatening to tear metal apart, every decision carries a cost. The heroes must stop the overload before the Scarab’s destruction... Will they succeed or perish with the exotic ship and the nearby settlement?

ELDERBRAIN SOUNDSCAPES APP
The overall adventure ran well, and I enjoyed the fantasy blend of golems and tech. My players enjoyed the time-constraints, although at least once I had to wand-wave the usage of a specific toolkit as I had not realised they needed two different ones to repair two sections.
The start required a bit of finesse on my part, where it was mentioned the golems would leave naturally after 10 minutes, my players of course tried to defend the village. But 10 rounds of combat when the players were virtually unable to do any damage didn't make sense to me so I had them leave at the very start.
The description of the tunnel into the scarab was also hard to visualise so again I added my own descriptions to it rather than relying on the book.
