Still It Rises PDF (Tier 1) (Daggerheart)

A one-shot of a snowbound feast, a deathless curse, and a forgotten necromantic vault

Beneath the warmth of a noble winter celebration lies a secret that should have stayed buried. When an undying horror begins hunting the guests, the characters must brave an abandoned royal facility to discover what keeps the creature "alive".

Invited by the impulsive Lord Finio Drayl, the characters arrive at a remote lakeside cabin to help prepare a winter feast. Laughter and conversation soon give way to fear as a relentless undead being appears, targeting those who wield magic. Its connection to the Twilight Wars hints at an old tragedy returning again and again to claim new victims.

The hunt leads to a hidden Necrovault, a sealed research facility once commanded by a royal necromancer serving King Kalaman the First. Inside, toxic vapors drift through ruined laboratories, and broken wards offer little protection from the dangers left behind. The facility holds the grim history of Solado Trolius, whose obsession with defeating death unleashed consequences that outlived him.

The party must investigate the vault while evading an enemy that regenerates after every encounter. The guests—including the spirited Flumia Jurro, sharp-minded Yolara Silverbraid, and daring Herren Glumas—add intrigue to the evening as panic spreads. The characters must find the source of the undead creature’s power before the storm traps them with a foe that will never tire and never stop.
