Beneath a decrepit dwarven foundry, a forbidden artifact waits under glass and lanternlight — and when the final bid is struck, its fracture unleashes not fortune, but horrific transformation. As people scatter into the depths below, they find themselves trapped in a hall of grotesque mutation, treacherous merchants, and a relentless guardian construct, where ancient machinery still grinds, runes flare to life, and survival depends on wit as much as steel.

Below the ruined golem manufactory of Kostryl’s Ironwrought Assembly, the Veiled Merchants move their goods in the shadows. Madessa Vren hires the characters to discreetly acquire the radiant Gilded Egg of Shurraad, while her rival Kelvos Marronis offers a richer deal—and a dangerous secret. As enigmatic bidders from many walks of life compete for cursed treasures, tension coils tighter with every raised token.

When the final lot is unveiled, treachery strikes from within. A traitorous doppelganger shatters the fragile balance of the evening, unleashing a wave of aberrant magic that turns guests into horrors. In response, the unblinking Auction Master, Faylen Kael, seals the complex in arcane lockdown and commands his adamantine juggernaut—the Lockwarden—to cleanse the hall.

What follows is a multi-layered survival scenario blending social intrigue, investigative horror, and explosive combat. Players must navigate shifting alliances, salvage ancient dwarven components to repair a sabotaged elevator system, outmaneuver deadly glyph traps, and decide whom—if anyone—to trust. Whether escaping with knowledge, leverage, or blood on their hands, the consequences of this night will echo through the shadow markets of Drayl.
